With over $30 million of recent investments, our state-of-the-art sputtering target production facility was purpose-built for the demanding requirements of the display industry. The advanced facility includes one of the world’s largest hot rolling mills for Tungsten and Molybdenum as well as a fully equipped machining center.
With 90 years of molybdenum production, customers can count on Elmet’s world-class quality. As North America’s only fully integrated producer of Molybdenum and Tungsten, our starting material is typically moly oxide which we reduce to produce our own pure, fully controlled Mo Powder. Elmet’s large portfolio of manufactured products share this same Mo powder source, making for efficient usage. Elmet has over 15 years of experience producing various sizes of Molybdenum sputtering targets for many of the largest display manufacturers around the globe. Compared to low-cost region material with suspect quality and material, each Elmet target’s Chemical Purity is checked against Elmet or Customer Specifications by ICP-OES, LECO, AAS, or GDMS.
