Tungsten Foil. Elmet’s 99.95% pure tungsten foil is made in the U.S.A at our fully integrated Lewiston, Maine production facility, where Elmet has operated for over 90 years. Elmet is the sole U.S. owned and operated, fully integrated producer of pure tungsten material and products. Our tungsten foil comes in a variety of dimensions. Elmet is ISO 9001, AS9100 and ITAR compliant.
TUNGSTEN FOIL AND SHEET
Elmet offers a wide range of tungsten plate and tungsten sheet products in varying thickness and lengths. As with all of our materials, our sheet begins as metal powder, is pressed into ingots, sintered, and then rolled. The process enables us to tailor the product to meet specific customer material and/or performance requirements to ensure optimal performance in your application.
TUNGSTEN:
- High melting temperature (3422° C) (highest metal, 2nd highest of elements)
- Low vapor pressure
- Sufficiently high electrical resistance
- Low thermal expansion combined with good thermal conductivity
- High E-modulus
- Strong corrosion resistance
