Description
Molybdenum Wire HCT .02″
Molybdenum Wire. Elmet’s 99.95% pure molybdenum HCT (potassium-doped) wire is made in the U.S.A. at our fully integrated Lewiston, Maine production facility, where Elmet has operated for over 90 years. HCT potassium-doped wire offers higher recrystallization temperatures. Elmet is the sole U.S. owned and operated, fully integrated producer of pure molybdenum material and products. Our molybdenum wires come in a variety of dimensions. Elmet is ISO 9001, AS9100 and ITAR compliant.
Elmet’s molybdenum wire is used in a variety of cutting-edge industries including aerospace, medical equipment and devices, university R&D, lighting, and high temperature furnace applications. Elmet’s wire is produced beginning as a metal powder which is pressed into ingots, and drawn down to sizes as small as seven-ten-thousandths of an inch through a series of process steps. Our in-house processing allows Elmet to manufacture wire tailored to meet specific customer material and / or performance requirements.
Wire is typically sold on a per kg basis as length of spools produced vary.
