Tungsten Sheet
Elmet is a leading global provider of high-quality tungsten sheet products and the only fully integrated US owned and operated producer. Elmet offers a wide range of cold rolled sheet product in varying thickness and lengths. As with all of our materials, our sheet begins as metal powder, is pressed into ingots, sintered, and then rolled. The process enables us to tailor the product to meet specific customer material and/or performance requirements to ensure optimal performance in your application. Elmet offers a wide range of hot rolled tungsten plate and cold rolled tungsten sheet product in varying thickness and length and per our customer request.
Sizes:
Elmet produces Tungsten flat products in thicknesses from 0.060″ to over 1.00″. Tungsten flat material from 0.060″ to 0.090″ in thickness is classified as sheet. Tungsten flat material from 0.10″ and larger is classified as plate. Tungsten sheet is used in a wide variety of applications including in the fabrication of sintering boats, as components in high-temperature furnaces and as heat shields. Please contact us to discuss large quantity demand for sizes thinner than 0.060″.
Surface Condition
The tungsten sheet surface can be supplied in a shiny, matte, satin, or as-rolled condition; dependent upon thickness and width parameters.
Heat Treatment
Molybdenum and Tungsten flat products are rolled and annealed to provide the optimum condition for the desired end use (Furnace, Punch, Deep Draw).
